Cloud9Science (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operate and publish the apps. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our services..

We collect minimal data only if you choose to sign in using email authentication via Google Firebase.
The following information may be stored securely in our Firebase Firestore database:

  • Your email address (used for authentication only)
  • Your username (generated anonymously by the app)
  • Your selected school and GCSE year
  • Your app score, and leaderboard position

We do not:

Collect sensitive personal information beyond what’s described above

Access any data from your device

Share your information with advertisers

2. Data Security

No data is collected or stored unless you choose to sign in using email authentication via Google Firebase

Data is stored using Google Firebase’s secure infrastructure. Users must be authenticated to read or write personal data.We reserve the right to access the database via the Firebase Console for debugging or support purposes only.

3. Service Providers

We use Firebase (a Google service) for:

  • User authentication
  • Cloud-based data storage (Firestore)
  • Optional anonymous analytics (Firebase Analytics)

These services are governed by their own strict security policies and only access what is necessary to perform their functions.

4. Leaderboard and Usernames

Usernames and scores are visible to other users for leaderboard display. No personal data (e.g., email address) is exposed publicly. Usernames are generated anonymously.

5. Links to Other Sites

The apps may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of any external site.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our services are designed for students typically aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information from our servers immediately.
